Green Hornets Boys' Club Basketball Program - 2017

The Boys’ Club Basketball program exists to provide community youth between the ages of 6 and 18 an opportunity to develop an appreciation of sportsmanship on a team and in a league environment while getting exercise and developing basic basketball skills. The emphasis of the Club program is on player development and fun.

The Club program has four competitive leagues divided up by age group. The basketball program determines league placement based on the following bracketing. 2017 - Your son’s age as of August 31 generally determines placement in the leagues.

6/7 Clinic 09/01/2009 - 08/31/2011 $105
8/9 Club 09/01/2007 - 08/31/2009 $105
10/11 Club 09/01/2005 - 08/31/2007 $105
12/13 Club 09/01/2003 - 08/31/2005 $105
14/18 Club 01/01/1999 - 08/31/2003 $105

Note: Players born after 9/1/99 who are in High School have the option of moving to 14-18 Club rather than 12/13 Club. Also, players in college cannot play regardless of birthdate.

All Club players are evaluated and teams are then formed either through a draft process or independently in an attempt to form equally competitive teams.

Teams typically play an eight to ten game schedule with a postseason tournament. Click here to view the special playing rules used by the Club program.

In order for the League Directors and coaches to better disseminate information about their teams and the leagues, we have created on-line “communities” for each of the Club leagues. There you will find schedule information, game results and standings, and the latest news from the League Director.

Click the appropriate link below to visit one of the online communities. These communities are normally updated as teams are formed for the year so the information in them currently may be from last season.
