Green Hornets Boys' Lacrosse

Welcome to the 2018 Green Hornets Boys Lacrosse season.

Severna Park has a proud lacrosse tradition. We continue to build on one of the strongest youth league foundations in the state of Maryland. We have two levels of play: 1) “Select" level; and 2) Recreational level.

Select Program: This year will be the 3rd year that many of our Select Teams will compete in two Leagues:

  • Howard County Youth Club Lacrosse League; AND
  • Anne Arundel County Youth Lacrosse League: A-Team Select Division
This translates to about 20 games for Select competition against a broad area of lacrosse talent. Our Select teams will be organized by age groups and high school graduation year and will be offered 3rd through 8th grade players.

Our Select lacrosse league offering requires a “TRYOUT” and registration as “Select” to be considered for the teams (even if your child participates in a complementary year-round club program with one of the Green Hornet Coaches).
Games will start at the end of March and will continue through the end of May (in time for the start of club tournaments in the summer).
Games will be played one night during the week and on both days of the weekend. This allows us to play in both leagues and offer a good number of games.
There are additional practices during the week (between 2 and 3)

Nate Hill, Director and Head of Select Lacrosse -

Recreational League: We continue to offer a full recreational lacrosse program for all age groups who will compete in the Anne Arundel County lacrosse league based on level of skill and experience. There are 10 AA County league games plus scrimmages against other Green Hornet Rec teams with 2 to 3 practices per week.

We are passionately committed to match our community’s lacrosse players to the experience that will help them to continue to develop and reach their goals, whether that is to play at the highest level and be prepared for high school or to have fun and learn more about one of the best games ever played. A game where fundamentals and team work can make magic. Here’s to another great spring of lacrosse!
